Good value but needs some updating.

Had one of the newer refurbished rooms which were nice.

Some parts were a bit dated, the hotel restaurant was empty in the evenings so I ate elsewhere. With breakfast and dinner in the basement it wasn’t that appealing.

a good 4*, not 5* hotel

Good location, Nice pool, beautiful rooms.

- had to wait around 20-30 mins to check in. 2 members of staff on the desk were dealing with one family. we waited so long to check in, that in the end we went out for dinner and came back to check in later. - we were given an ‘upgraded room’, that was underneath the gym. we were woken every morning by people on the treadmill above us, and at night we had to call reception to ask people to stop using the gym as it was way past midnight. the ‘downgraded’ room we eventually moved into was way nicer. - paid a ridiculously overpriced late check out fee, as we needed the room for a couple of extra hours. - No umbrellas/shade at the pool area left all guests scrambling for the little shade available.

As always, the staff was very helpful, in particular Antonio from reception.

WiFi isn't suitable for work (Skype meetings and slow in opening exel files), even after switching the room. Also, there are some aging signals on the deco (ex. the wallpaper of the room or the condition of some couches of the bar), that could be named "patine" but isn't suitable for a 5* hotel. I'm just being picky, because it's definitely still is "my" hotel in Zaragoza.

Ideally located for what we needed. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Clean and organized.

Parking has limited space and wasn’t accessible a a large family saloon.

The breakfast was very good but expensive

The hotel is just off a main road. The sign on the side of the building in front of it was not illuminated at night.

Enjoyable, we were in Zaragoza for the festival and had fun!

This is supposed to be a 5 Star Hotel, it most definitely is not by normal standards! The hotel and staff are lovely but the service is definitely not 5 star. I think it may have achieved this by its location alone. Saying that, the price was equivalent to what you might pay for a decent 4 star

Comfortable, central, modern hotel

The hotel is centrally located a short walk to the old centre and has good underground parking across the street. My room was good-sized with an excellent bathroom. The reception staff were very helpful with shopping suggestions. The hotel is modern and without much character, but comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Very Good

Clean, comfortable, quiet, well equipped. Shower was amazing, room and bed huge, nice pool. Great location in the centre near lots of shops, museums etc, bars and restaurants. And above all great value!

Nothing that important! If I was being very picky, a couple more sunshades by the pool would be good, and the gym didn't have much equipment. Also the wifi in the room was poor and often didn't connect.

Very Good

Staff was super nice and helpful. They had our sage fixed within 15 minutes and organised a taxi for is in 5 minutes. Room was comfortable and the swimming pool really great in the hot weather!

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Wifi was poor in the room but excellent in the common areas. Buffet breakfast a bit limited.

We had a great stay, enjoyed the luxurious ambiance, roof top pool and excellent location.

Excellent location, luxurious hotel at a very competitive price, beautifully furnished, right in the middle of the city and easy walk to the Old Town.

Overall a great experience.

Very clean room with a comfy bed. The hotel is at a perfect location and only a few minute's walk from Zaragoza's most iconic landmarks.

In previous places /hotels I have been they offered complimentary water bottles to guests, but this was not the case with Hotel Palafox. They charged a lot for bottled water in the room. Moreover, it would have been better if more pool umbrellas were available at the swimming pool area.

A Nice Hotel, in a Convenient Central Location but Lacking 5 Star Service

The Hotel is located near sites of interest and easy walking distance from the Cathedral, the river and historical buildings. We travelled by car and were happy the hotel had great parking with unusually large parking spaces, though the price was expensive (about 25 Euro/nt). The room was nice and had an old style charming decoration and furnishing (though it also had a little bit of an old carpet smell lingering in the hallways and room).

The hotel is advertised as a 5 star, but seems to lack the attention and the service of a 5 star hotel. As an example, on arrival, we found multiple boxes of amenities in the bathroom neatly stacked, but 5 out 8 of the boxes were empty, and some amenities such as slippers were missing!! No one had bothered to check the inside of the boxes or do an inventory of what should be left in the room. After reporting this to the front desk, by the 2nd night all the amenities were added as they should be. One of the bathroom sinks did not flow well. Lastly we found the waiter in the Breakfast restaurant very unfriendly and almost rude. When being seated we asked for a different table and he curtly replied we can only use the table he offered since it is set for 2. When asking for anything he would give a blank look then reluctantly provide it. He then got into an argument with another restaurant guest because he had stepped out after his coffee and was returning to finish his breakfast. Overall not a 5 star service, or maybe they had a very bad waiter assigned to this restaurant.

Good place to enjoy Saragossa and have a dip in the roof top pool

Very friendly reception. As we arrived in a large stationwagon they invited us to park in the van area to avoid the steep turns in the lower levels of the parking garage. Pool on the top of the roof is fine. Room was fine, sort of classic Spanish atmosphere. Saragossa is well worth the visit especially the Arab/Aragonese fort and the busy streets with many restaurants (much beter food than Barcelona)

Atmosphere is that of a larger hotel with substantial business function. Caffeinated coffee in the room was missing.
